Let me help you find a home why work with me

Susan loves life as a real estate agent ~ it’s a fast-paced job where every day is different. Sleuthing for just the right property meets her passion for client-focused research. Previewing homes and networking with other agents keeps her matchmaker’s brain engaged. She loves helping sellers downsize, make updates, and use selective staging to showcase their property’s best features for sale, drawing on her skills with the Four Ps ~ Preparation, Pricing, Presentation and Promotion. Handling the transactional details of contracts meets her former journalist’s need for deadlines ~ and getting a job DONE.

With “Going the Extra Mile” her stated business motto and “tenacious optimist” her moniker, it’s all about the relationships with Susan. Some of her best deals start at the dog park, the swimming pool, or the neighborhood Halloween Party (where she’s affectionately known as The Moonbounce Lady.)

Susan began her real estate career in 2004, starting with WC & AN Miller/Long & Foster, then Weichert, and recently back to Long & Foster, where she is thriving with new-found synergy, support, camaraderie and challenge. She is a top-producing agent with $12M - $16M in annual personal sales.

Originally from Colorado, Susan has lived in the Metro area since 1987 ~ first in Virginia, then DC, now Maryland. She holds a political economy degree from Colorado College and a master’s in print journalism from the University of Missouri. She worked as a writer, editor and publisher for 15 years. She and her husband, Arnie, recently built their “dream house” ~ a prairie-style home in the Glen Echo Heights area of Bethesda. They have three grown children and a daughter-in-law and are excited to be welcoming their first grandchild.

Susan loves vigorous hikes in the mountains and lazy walks in the woods with her beloved foxhound, reading novels, skiing, swimming, Peleton spinning, enjoying live music, cooking AND eating out, serving on various boards & committees, and throwing parties ~ the bigger the better! Now add grandparenting to that list! 

When you or someone you know is looking to buy or sell, contact Susan ~ we'll both be glad you did!
